1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website www.professionalmovers.in and all services provided by Professional Movers India Pvt. Ltd. ("Company," "we," "us," "our"). By booking our services or using our website, you ("Customer," "you," "your") acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Our Services
Professional Movers India Pvt. Ltd. provides the following services:
- Residential and commercial packing and moving services
- Local, intercity, and interstate relocation services
- Vehicle transportation (cars, bikes, heavy vehicles)
- Short-term and long-term storage and warehousing
- International relocation assistance
- Unpacking and re-arrangement services at destination
All services are subject to availability, geographic coverage, and operational feasibility. We reserve the right to decline or modify a service request at our discretion.
3. Booking & Confirmation
A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of a signed service agreement and the required advance payment. Verbal agreements or informal confirmations do not constitute a binding booking.
- All quotes are valid for 7 days from the date of issue
- Booking confirmation will be sent via email and/or SMS
- Any changes to the confirmed booking must be communicated at least 48 hours in advance
- Last-minute changes may result in additional charges
4. Pricing & Payment
All quotes provided by us are based on the information supplied by the customer at the time of inquiry. The final price may differ if the actual inventory, access conditions, or requirements differ from those originally stated.
- Prices are inclusive of all standard packing materials unless otherwise stated
- Additional charges may apply for heavy items, special equipment, extra floors (no lift), or remote locations
- GST will be charged as applicable at the prevailing rate
- An advance payment (typically 10-30% of the total) is required at booking
- The remaining balance is due on or before delivery
- We accept UPI, NEFT/IMPS, credit/debit cards, and cash
In case of non-payment or delayed payment, we reserve the right to retain possession of the customer's goods until all outstanding dues are settled.
5. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
- Cancellation 7+ days before move: Full advance refund
- Cancellation 3โ6 days before move: 50% advance refunded
- Cancellation within 48 hours: Advance is non-refundable
- Rescheduling 48+ hours before move: Free of charge (subject to availability)
- Rescheduling within 48 hours: A rescheduling fee of โน500โโน2,000 may apply
If we cancel a confirmed booking due to reasons within our control, a full refund of the advance will be issued within 5โ7 business days.
6. Liability & Insurance
While we take every precaution to ensure the safe handling and transportation of your belongings, our liability is subject to the following limitations:
- Our maximum liability for loss or damage is limited to the declared value of the goods or โน50,000 per booking, whichever is lower, unless additional insurance has been purchased
- We are not liable for damage to items that were not packed by our team
- We are not liable for pre-existing damage to goods
- We strongly recommend purchasing comprehensive transit insurance, which is available at the time of booking
Important: We are not liable for any consequential, indirect, or incidental losses including but not limited to loss of income, loss of business, or emotional distress arising from any delay, damage, or loss of goods.
7. Prohibited Items
The following items are strictly prohibited from being included in any shipment:
- Explosives, firearms, ammunition, and flammable liquids
- Illegal substances, narcotics, or controlled materials
- Perishable food items (unless explicitly agreed upon)
- Live plants and animals
- Cash, jewelry, and high-value financial instruments (unless declared and insured)
- Hazardous chemicals, medical waste, or radioactive materials
- Documents of legal or personal significance unless specifically requested
The customer is fully responsible for any consequences arising from the inclusion of prohibited items. We reserve the right to refuse transportation of any item at our sole discretion.
8. Customer Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete information about the inventory, address, and access conditions
- Ensure that all items are properly emptied (e.g., refrigerators, fuel tanks of vehicles)
- Be present or have a designated representative at both pick-up and delivery locations
- Secure parking space and clear access paths for our vehicles and team
- Disclose any items that require special handling prior to the move
- Verify the condition and count of all goods at delivery before signing the completion report
9. Damage Claims
Any damage or loss must be reported at the time of delivery. Claims reported after signing the delivery acknowledgment form will not be entertained unless supported by photographic evidence taken at the time of delivery. Damage claims must be submitted in writing within 48 hours of delivery to claims@professionalmovers.in.
10. Intellectual Property
All content on this website โ including text, logos, images, graphics, and design โ is the exclusive property of Professional Movers India Pvt. Ltd. and is protected under applicable intellectual property laws. No content may be copied, reproduced, or distributed without our prior written consent.
11. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of India. Any disputes arising from these Terms or our services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India. We encourage resolution of disputes through amicable negotiation before pursuing legal action.
